Microsoft announced earlier this week that on October 13th of this year, support for Office 2016 for Mac will be discontinued. So what does this mean for you?
If you’re still using Office 2016 on your Mac, you will not be able to connect to Microsoft’s cloud services after October 13th. Your office app will continue to work as normal but updates and support for these apps will also cease when support ends.
Support will continue for the Windows version of Office 2016 through 2023. Mac users who are running legacy versions of Office are encouraged to upgrade to one of Microsoft’s Office 365 subscription plans. Options are available for personal, educational, and business use.
If you need guidance or help setting up a new Office 365 account for your team, we’d be happy to help! We’re proud Microsoft partners and we can help build out an instance that’s custom-tailored to the needs of your team. Get in touch today to learn more!
